It is a matter of thinking outside the box
LINAK is attending for the seventh time, when the largest furniture exhibition in the North, Stockholm Furniture Fair, opens the doors in February. There have been many thoughts leading up to the exhibition, and the result is once again a proof of close design collaborations and aesthetic solutions focusing on movement.
Stand A36:28 at this year’s Stockholm Furniture Fair is characterized by a completely new way of working – in more than one sense. The overall theme of the stand is New Ways of Working. The Danish actuator manufacturer has once again put a lot of effort in getting up several design collaborations. Therefore, they are able to show solutions from, among others, the Danish furniture manufacturer Nielaus Furniture and the Swedish Kitchen manufacturer Ballingslöv AB. The various design collaborations are incredibly important to LINAK, as they in many ways are their entrance ticket to exhibit at Stockholm Furniture Fair;
- We always think of renewing ourselves, as we do not wish to show the same things two years in a row at the exhibition. Stockholm Furniture Fair is different from the other fairs we are attending. It is the largest furniture exhibition in the North, and it is evident that we need to think outside the box, when we, as a sub-supplier, choose to exhibit here, says Anne Willemoes, Marketing Manager at LINAK Danmark, and continues;
- We put a lot of effort in continuously challenging our customers to think in new lines. Therefore, we also put a lot of effort in finding good designers and manufacturers we can collaborate with, in order to show our products in exciting and innovative design solutions. It is also my conviction that our partners are happy with the chance of being exhibited at a big fair as this.
Want people to get out of the chair
The trend behind New Ways of Working covers a larger flexibility and mobility in the workplace. This means, among other things, that fewer people have their own desk, and thus several users for the same desk. Therefore, desks need to be adjustable for different users. However, it is not only with regard to this trend that LINAK has experienced a positive development on the market, as the health related perspective on height adjusting has won great progress;
- We have experienced a great focus on the necessity of breaking with sedentary behavior, which is applicable for many office workers. It is a large focus area for us, and we want to contribute to that trend, which our products also allow us. This year, our stand is therefore strongly inspired by the thoughts of both flexibility and mobility, says the Danish Marketing Manager.
The actual design of the stand is in no way left to chance. It is developed in close collaboration with the Danish architect Tine Mouritsen, who is also the mind behind several of the solutions shown at the stand. Tine has worked with LINAK earlier, and the interplay between the six zones at the stand is based on LINAK ideas and wishes of showing as much movement as possible;
- We have worked closely with Tine, who is responsible for the overall design of our stand. We have challenged her, and Tine is great at catching our thoughts and ideas and combining them with her own aesthetic expression. It means a lot to us that Tine has joined our team this year, and think we are left with a stand that really shows our products in the best possible ways, concludes Anne Willemoes.
