PRESS RELEASE

Agritechnica 2013, McCormick plays new “music” at Hanover“. The music has changed”: this was the theme of McCormick''s World Convention, held recently at Parma''s Auditorium Paganini . Entitled “Xpression”. It was the perfect platform to demonstrate the product developments and changes that are under way within Argo Tractors and these will be shown at this year’s Agritechnica.

The first of these products is the X4 Series, a 61 to 102 HP range that will take over from the CX-L series a C-L series, with a single offering with a wide specification of features making it truly more versatile.

Six different models, of the X4 Series are available in platform or cab variants. The models can be accessorized to suit the customers'' requirements beginning with an Entry Level version through to models with high specification.

Three 61 to 75 HP models use a 2.9 Tier 4 Final engine, while the 85 to 101 HP models on show at the Hanover fair are equipped with 3.6 litre Tier 4 Interim engines.

The new X4 Series also features a new 12 + 12 transmission built by Argo Tractors. This can be fitted with Creeper, Power Shuttle, Hi-Lo Powershift, 40 Eco and mechanical or electro hydraulic two-speed PTO.

At the rear of the tractor specifications include mechanical or electronic three point linkage and an impressive 3600 kg lifting capacity. The flexibility of a 1750 kg front linkage adds to the machines operating capabilities.

McCormick is launching the new X6 Series , which will take over during 2014 from the X60 and MC series. It includes two models with 111 and 121 HP power ratings and 4.5-liter FPT Tier 4 Interim engines equipped with the innovative SCR Selective Catalytic Reduction system. The two models both propose the Power Plus system, which boosts the level of power available at the PTO to 121 and 133 HP, respectively.

The X6 ranges shares the modern new style family look in particularly the new cab, inspired by the X7 Series. The tractors are compact and feature a 36 + 12 transmission with 3 Powershift speeds, optional 4-speed PTO, electronically controlled rear lift and hydraulic circuits with either 66 l/min flow rate in open center versions or 110 l/min with the closed center package. The suspended cab and suspended front axle are available for the X6 Series. These provide additional comfort and higher transport speeds and are built into the 50kph variants.

However, the biggest surprise at Hanover is the launch new the X7 VT Series, a range that marks the beginning of a new era for McCormick products by introducing the ZF continuously variable transmission into the X7 family. This range shares all the technology and styling of the X7 Series, offering customers an alternative choice of transmission to best suit their applications. Five models from 143 to 175 HP (188 HP with Power Plus) will be easy to operate and provide outstanding efficiency and productivity through the continuously variable transmission..This range now gives our dealers a great opportunity to approach new customers and experience the simplicity of operation and superior cab comfort.

The range will feature armrest controls on which all the transmission functions are grouped while the styling reflects the ultra-modern look of the X7 Series, with the “Premiere Cab” which is a true masterpiece of design, space and comfort, finished with materials used within the commercial and automotive industries.

New lighting packages ensure perfect visibility during night works. Climbing the steps one appreciates the sturdy door handles and closing catches to keep the cab fully pressurized and the dust kept out .All controls are arranged logically, while other features include the tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, with integrated instrument panel that remains in the correct position relative to the steering position selected.

Electronic engine speed memory plus Headland management functions can all be programmed as well. Plus “My switch” that selects a particular function frequently used.Passengers can ride in comfort on the new patented seat, which folds completely out of sight making it easier to get in and out of the tractor.

Finally the option of a driver’s seat with ventilated and heated backrest to the air conditioned glove compartment, while the standard equipment also includes the radio with USB port, Bluetooth microphone and 4 loud speakers. Comfort and performance from features such as front axle and cab suspension make this a true contender in today’s market place.
