PayEx buys Mynt Betalingsterminaler AS

The acquisition of Mynt Betalingsterminaler AS strengthens PayEx''s position as supplier of payment terminals and as one of the leading suppliers of payment solutions in the Nordic countries.

The PayEx Group has acquired 100% of Mynt Betalingsterminaler AS. Mynt develops software for payment terminals from one of the world''s largest terminal manufacturers, Ingenico. Mynt began as an enterprise company in January 2004 and was acquired from the founders.

PayEx has been investing in payment solutions for retail trading since 2006, and since 2010 the group has worked together with Mynt in developing new payment solutions.  Following this acquisition, PayEx can offer its customers payment terminals using the latest technology that can be used for mobile payments, a variety of payment methods and value-adding services.

"Since physical and electronic buying channels are becoming ever more closely connected, this is of strategic significance for PayEx. We now have access to the latest functionality and specialised competence in payment terminals, which will further strengthen the services we offer our customers," says Jonas Lagerstedt, CEO of PayEx.

"Our aim is to be the natural choice for suppliers whose customers wish to accept payment on the internet, by mobile phone, physical purchase, via payment terminals, call centres etc. using one and the same payment solution," continues Jonas.
