JUHA-Elektro and Weidmüller will go each their own way in Finland

Helsinki. JUHA-Elektro Oy, the Helsinki-based import and trading company for electric and electronic products, which is part of the KAMIC Group, and WEIDMÜLLER, the global specialist for products and solutions in electric connectivity and electronic in industrial applications, will end their exclusive cooperation in Finland with effect from September 2012. JUHA-Elektro has been the exclusive representation of WEIDMÜLLER in Finland for more than 5 decades and made the WEIDMÜLLER brand well-known in the Finnish industry.

The decision follows the development of WEIDMÜLLER from a component manufacturer towards a stronger industry segment and application approach during the last years. Namely, WEIDMÜLLER stressed to seek a closer connection between the Finnish customers and its engineering experts, it’s customizing and design/development activities.

From September 2012, WEIDMÜLLER will be present in the growing Finnish market through an own Finnish branch which will be embedded in, and take advantage of, the strength of WEIDMÜLLER’s Nordic organisation. With the former WEIDMÜLLER sales team of JUHA-Elektro as a core cell, WEIDMÜLLER plans to enlarge its future Finnish branch by more engineers to better serve the Finnish customers.

Following a period of positive discussions between WEIDMÜLLER and JUHA-Elektro, both parties stressed to facilitate a smooth transition in what is regarded an amicable agreement that each partner will go its own way. The future independence of their activities, however, does not exclude co-operations if to the advantage of Finish customers.

JUHA-Elektro will focus its trading activities and re-align them with KAMIC Group’s other strong activities in the Finnish electric and electronic market. The closer integration of its Finnish activities will namely strengthen its business areas Installation and Electronics.
