CERTEX, one of Europe’s largest suppliers of Lifting goods and services in Europe, has entered a purchasing agreement with lifting gear manufacturers, Crosby Group Europe plc, to ensure immediate availability of Crosby stock to CERTEX customers across Europe.

Wider product choice of Crosby goods, and improved delivery times, will be offered by all CERTEX’s 32 European locations; a result of CERTEX’s commitment to purchasing substantial stock levels ahead of customer orders. Crosby goods will now be held at key sites within CERTEX’s four European divisions – CERTEX UK, CERTEX Norway, CERTEX Baltic Sea and CERTEX North Sea.

In particular, the deal will serve the industry across Northern Europe where demand is high for reliable products with same-day availability. CERTEX has responded swiftly to this requirement by securing high volumes of stock in advance of sales. From now on, rather than waiting for the manufacturer to release the stock once a customer has placed an order, CERTEX will already hold the goods and will be able to offer faster delivery on a wide range of Crosby products.

The product choice available through CERTEX will be extensive and will include the full range of Crosby’s shackles and rigging hardware.

As one of the Europe’s leading distributors of high quality lifting and safety equipment, CERTEX has been supplying products made by Crosby for 30 years. It is a long-standing and mutually-beneficial partnership with CERTEX recognising the quality of the Crosby brand and Crosby gaining from the added value that CERTEX brings to the marketplace in terms of technical expertise, training and after sales care.

Crosby, meanwhile, has responded to the financial strength of the CERTEX group of companies and is keen to support partners who have the means to invest in high levels of stock, as opposed to distributors who rely on Crosby to hold goods until they have a firm order.

Peter Keith, Managing Director of CERTEX Division in Europe, said: ‘The Crosby name is synonymous with quality and fits in perfectly with CERTEX’s commitment to offering the best products at the best price. Our customer service is backed up by our training and technical support and health and safety advice, and we are delighted to be playing such a major part in the increased supply and distribution of a brand as prestigious as Crosby.’

Willy Caubergs, Managing Director of Crosby Group Europe, added: ‘CERTEX’s European distribution network is the ideal platform for the quick supply of Crosby goods to all our European customers. We are confident our complete range of quality products, together with the CERTEX Lifting “Know How” and their new stocking policy, will support our aim to grow market share in Europe,’

The Crosby agreement comes alongside the launch of CERTEX’s European-wide initiative, ‘The Lifting KnowHow’, focusing on technical safety and reducing lifting accidents. CERTEX pledges that every customer purchasing goods receives added value in terms of the company’s technical expertise; willingness to troubleshoot, and trustworthy advice on the best products and how to use them safely.
