Sandberg gives all computers an HDMI output

Sandberg, which specialises at forming all types of standards into each other, is now launching a converter from the ordinary VGA output, which is found on practically every computer in the market, to HDMI. The latter is found in practically all flat-screen TVs.

You can even blow up the picture from an older computer or a small mini laptop onto your living room's 42" flat-screen TV with Sandberg's new smart box. Whether we are talking action games, holiday photos, or films from the Internet, it is an amazing advantage to be able to create this connection between standards.

Sales Director Erling Hoff Petersen says the following about the latest addition: "It creates brand new opportunities for using the computer when you can connect it to a large flat-screen TV. Especially in today's world where you can get everything from the Internet: The latest episode of a TV series which you didn't finish watching yesterday, YouTube videos, holiday photos, websites, computer games and all sorts of other things. As soon as we talk about entertainment, the advantage is literally there in front of you. A lot of the pleasure in watching a film is lost when you sit in an office chair in front of a computer screen. Now that you can put the computer in front of the large flat-screen TV and connect it within seconds is quite amazing."

Product Manager Anders Petersen says the following about the box with some pride: "It has been a challenge for us to create a box which can be used by everybody and which gives a good result. There are other products on the market which promise similar results, but our scaling solution is the power which makes this into a unique product. A sure winner that works just as you expect it to. No fuss. The sound also comes through perfectly."

The box is very simple to use. Connect audio and VGA from the computer. An adapter for the power socket is also included. And then there is life in the HDMI connector, which contains both pure digital video and pure audio quality. You just have to connect it to the TV in exactly the same way as you would with a DVD player or games console.

The scaling function means that there is no need to install software. You don't even have to install a driver.
