Far from all laptop computers are equipped with the attractive Firewire ports, also known as IEEE1394. This type of port is used for, e.g. digital video cameras, digital cameras, external hard disks and CD burners. If you need this kind of port, but have bought a laptop computer that doesn't have one, things haven't looked good for you, until now. To benefit people in this situation, Sandberg has now brought out a solution which makes it easy and straightforward to get a Firewire port on your computer.

Sales Director Erling Hoff Pedersen explains: "It's no fun sitting there with your new laptop and realising that the digital video camera simply can't be connected. What do you do then? Normally it's not particularly easy to upgrade a laptop computer compared to standard desktop computers. This is where our new product comes into the picture and solves the problem."

Sandberg Firewire PC Card Express just needs to be slotted into a free ExpressCard port. Windows finds the drivers itself, giving you two new Firewire ports, which can be used as if they'd been installed on the machine from the beginning.
