PolyOne unveils OnColorTM non-phthalate masterbatches for vinyl compounds
PolyOne Corporation (NYSE: POL), a premier provider of specialized polymer materials, services, and solutions, today announced availability of OnColorTM non-phthalate PVC masterbatches at the Salon de l’emballage 2008 Exhibition (PolyOne: Hall 6 Stand G 137) November 17–21, 2008 in Paris, France.
PolyOne’s non-phthalate masterbatches are an excellent option for vinyl applications such as toys, packaging, medical devices and consumer goods that must meet the most stringent international regulatory standards. Process-specific masterbatches include those targeted for injection molding, extrusion, and extrusion blow molding.
Bernard Baert, senior vice president and general manager, Colors and Engineered Materials, Europe and Asia, explains, “Our developments aim at ever-cleaner and more efficient solutions. Non-phthalate masterbatches are a good example of how our customized solutions meet our customers’ demand for products with low environmental impact.”
These new masterbatches provide custom colors that meet application-specific needs. Because customer requests are analyzed at PolyOne’s dedicated Color & Additives Center (Assesse, Belgium), new products can be introduced faster and more efficiently at customer facilities. Further, OnColor masterbatches are easy to handle and are compatible with a variety of processing options.
Like all PolyOne solutions, non-phthalate PVC masterbatches conform to the Company’s No Surprises PledgeSM, PolyOne’s commitment to delivering safe, environmentally sound solutions and a promise that the materials PolyOne produces contain only ingredients that conform to accepted legal and regulatory guidelines.
