AFA Insurance automates all document handling with the aid of ReadSoft's solutions
AFA Insurance invests in ReadSoft's Classify and Index products in order to automate the handling of three additional insurance products. The investment is another step towards making document handling within the company more effective. Cost savings and improved customer service are two reasons for AFA Insurance's increased use of ReadSoft's solutions. The order is worth approximately EUR 160,000 for ReadSoft.
AFA Insurance is an umbrella organization for AFA Life Insurance, AFA Medical Insurance and AFA Work Injury Insurance. The main duty of AFA Insurance is to administer the insurance polices and plans, which are based on collective agreements or other agreements between Sweden's labor market parties. These collective agreement insurances apply to illness, paternity leave, loss of work, and work-related injury and death. Approximately three million people are covered by at least one form of AFA Insurance.
"The objective of this investment is to ensure the quality of our information and to streamline our processes. These in turn lead to improvements in efficiency throughout the organization," says Maria Welin-Persson, Deputy Director-General for Document technology at AFA Insurance. "We want to use our resources in the most optimal way and, with the aid of ReadSoft's solutions, free up administrators' valuable time so that they instead can focus on helping our customers."
Already in the 1960:ies AFA Insurance started to digitalize incoming documents and store them electronically. In 2002, AFA began collaborating with ReadSoft in order make document handling at the company more effective. Using ReadSoft's latest advances in sophisticated document analysis, AFA Insurance sought to take a substantial step forward towards the future of data capture. One year later, the system was installed, production was up and running, and experiences over the last four years have been very positive.
