Vasatherm Finland Oy ”Wall Confluent Jets” stratifying ventilation has been awarded the prize for the best idea in the contest Productive Idea 2006. The contest was organized for business companies in Southern Finland and the prize ceremony took place on November 2nd 2006 at the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Helsinki.

The object of the contest was to promote innovative business activities.

The overall aim was to increase the value of entrepreneurship by highlighting the advantages presented to Finnish economy by business companies and entrepreneurs in terms of innovative thinking and risk taking. The organizer wanted to encourage business companies, their personnel as well as people employed by the public sector in unprejudiced thinking and in carrying out innovative ideas.

The contest 2006 put emphasis on:
Firstly: growth of the company’s businesses due to internationalization and to successful design

Secondly: the domestic share of the manufacturing especially in terms of product development and design

Thirdly: innovative ideas from the private sector for production of public services

Vasatherm Finland Oy: The winning contest proposal presented by Vasatherm Finland Oy was commented as follows:
The Wall Confluent Jets – idea is an innovative and independent concept for a considerable improvement of indoor air quality and energy economy. Its positive effects on work productivity and its economic success on the international market were also mentioned.

Thanks to the Wall Confluent Jets ventilation technique the air removal effect and the heating effect can rapidly be increased by up to 100%. The indoor air quality as well as well as the job satisfaction is improved. The Wall Confluent Jets – ventilation technique provides considerable energy savings in terms of lower heating and cooling costs. Due to the high reactive silencing effect of the nozzles the system is very silent.

Constant product development work keeps Vasatherm Finland Oy in cooperation with international researchers. Vasatherm participates in i.e. a Swedish research project with the objective of clarifying energy savings in store houses and industry buildings. Vasatherm Finland Oy is the market leading company in the field of technology for stratifying ventilation. After the strengthening of the export business Vasatherm Finland Oy holds a more significant market share in Europe concerning air outlets.

At the moment our most active export business has been directed towards Sweden, Italy, England, Switzerland, Denmark and Estonia.

Due to export business and project activities the turnover of Vasatherm Finland Oy has increased by 30% and exceeds 3.0 Million euros in 2006.
