PolyOne sets up local operations in India
Following several years of successful growth, and in response to requests from customers, PolyOne has recently announced plans to set up local operations in India.
Highlighting its commitment to strengthening its position in the Indian market, PolyOne Singapore Pte Ltd has recently opened a liaison office in Mumbai, India. This new local office reinforces PolyOne’s commitment to expanding business globally.
Customers in India will now be able to order PolyOne’s full range of engineered materials, thermoplastic elastomer compounds, LSFOH materials and colour and additive masterbatch products.
Mr. Tushar Parida will be the lead representative at this office. In addition, to holding a Masters Degree in Polymer Engineering from the University of Delhi, Mr. Parida has many years experience in the Indian polymer industry. He has a broad background and has previously worked in technical, application development and business development roles.
Commenting on the announcement, Ludovic Tonnerre, Business Development Director Asia said: “This new local office enables us to better serve PolyOne’s existing customers in India, and also to develop new business opportunities in this marketplace.”
In addition to the opening of a local liaison office in Mumbai, PolyOne is also currently evaluating plans to further expand their presence in India. ‘With an overall growth in plastics of 8-10% in India, customer demand in some regions is such that in the next 12 months we may need to continue to invest in India.’ says Ludovic Tonnerre.
