Co-operation procedure to take place at WM-data Novo

Based on the Act on Co-operation within Undertakings, WM-data Novo will enter into joint discussions with its staff on the reduction of approximately 190 employees. The current staff in WM-data Novo is approximately 2,800 persons. The co-operation procedure aim at consolidating and reorganising the operations of WM-data Novo Plc (formerly Novo Group Plc) and its subsidiaries, and WM-data Oy, WM-data Infra Solutions Oy, WM-data Internal Services Oy and WM-data X-Way Oy, due to operational and financial reasons, as well as reasons resulting from the employer's business restructuring.

– The co-operation procedure will involve plans and proposals for business operations in order to remove overlapping operations. The aim of consolidating businesses is to enhance services by focusing and streamlining operations, reap cost-savings and enhance profitability, says Seppo Matikainen, President.

– WM-data Novo seeks to complete the co-operation procedure by the end of April. The aim is to minimise the number of job cuts through pension arrangements, in-company transfers and training schemes, continues Matikainen.
