Walki’s new trademark stands for partnership
As part of the work with a new strategy, Walki presents its new trademark which is one of the main elements of the new logo. The new trademark reflects Walki’s focus on being a partner for its customers, an expert in it's own field and also that we understand our customer’s business.
The ambition to act as a concrete support and work in close collaboration with our customers is also apparent from the new slogan “Your Business Covered”.
“It has a double meaning. Naturally, it refers to what we do in that we develop different types of physical protection for our customers products. However, the second meaning is equally important : we know our customers business in depth. Because of this we feel that we can also offer them the service they need,” says Leif Frilund, President and CEO of Walki.
A trademark process is to some extent about building on a company’s strengths and in Walki’s case Frilund thinks that many of the company’s good sides are brought together in the new trademark:
“We are proud of our technical skills, our workforce, of the quality we stand for and our innovation. We want to develop these elements and at the same time become even better at understanding our customers’ needs and responding to them in the most effective way possible. The result must be that our customers can enjoy a good night’s sleep when they are working with us,” says Frilund.
An effective company that is growing
Last year the new Walki was released from its former owner UPM-Kymmene when investment company CapMan purchased the company. The trademark follows as a natural development from this process to create a Walki that has a solid history of expertise as well as the adaptability, speed and flexibility of a smaller company.
“We continue to work to refine our processes and make them more efficient and have come a long way in this direction. We have also set our sights on significant growth. In this sense our new trademark is also an important tool for us and as a guideline for those who work here,” declares Leif Frilund.
The new and improved trademark will be rolled out in due course. This means that the new bright blue and airy logo will become visible on everything from signs to Walki’s own product packaging. One element from Walki’s previous visual identity still remains, the material web. On the new logo the web 'winds' through the letters a, l and k.
“We wanted this element to stay because we work intensively with materials that run through a web and will probably do that for some time to come,” says Frilund.
