YIT participates in making a new World Record in installation with the PULS Project at Oskasrshamn Nuclear Power Plant

The PULS Project at Oskarshamn OKG3 Nuclear Power Plant in Sweden was initiated. The purpose of this project is to raise the power plant capacity by 250 MW, which is equivalent to one large conventional power plant.

From YIT, the project is staffed by a total of 250 designers, supervisors, electricians, pipe fitters and welders, with 130 of them coming from Finland and about 120 from Sweden. The project will be implemented in a world record time, as the planned installation schedule runs for only 91 days. YIT is the project's largest installation contractor.

YIT has entered into project implementation contracts with Ahlstrom Power Sweden, including detailed plans for the turbine related pipelines to be revised, installations and project management, as well as dismantlement and installation works on mechanical equipment and electricity and automation devices.

This revision will increase the Oskarshamn Nuclear Power Plant's production capacity to 1,450 MW.

YIT has participated in the building and modernisation of all Finnish and Swedish nuclear plants now active and implements annual maintenance and other projects related to pipelines, mechanical equipment, electricity and automation.
