Hägglunds gets major order from Metso Fiber

Hägglunds Drives’ Swedish sales company has received its biggest ever order and the Hägglunds Group’s second largest order of all time. Metso Fiber has ordered 36 hydraulic drive systems worth roughly SEK 45 million.

Metso Fiber will deliver the systems to its customers in Brazil, India, Germany and Malaysia. The 36 hydraulic drive systems are designed for pulp cooking and washing equipment.

“Hägglunds Drives has been supplying hydraulic drive systems for our products for over twenty years,” says Mathias Nicander, category manager at Metso Fiber. “Hägglunds is firmly established in the industry, and has reliable products and a strong market position.”

“We’re extremely proud that Metso has entrusted us with this order,” says Mats Nytorp, CEO of Hägglunds Drives Svenska AB. He sees the order as proof of the company’s excellent teamwork.

“Metso is an exacting customer with high quality demands on both products and project implementation. These demands have been instrumental in our development.” The 36 drive systems will be delivered during 2009.
