Cerealia Foods AB invests in WMS upgrade for greater traceability

Cerealia Foods is investing in a major upgrade of its SattStore WMS from Consafe Logistics that will enable the company to have greater security and traceability in its warehouse.

Cerealia Foods AB, part of the Lantmännen group, is one of Sweden’s leading producers and distributors of pasta and breakfast products. Cerealia Foods is investing in a major upgrade of its SattStore WMS from Consafe Logistics that will enable the company to have greater security and traceability in its warehouse.

“We decided to upgrade SattStore as we wanted to run on more modern hardware.” Says Thomas Frögren, Warehouse Manager at Cerealia. “We also need to process goods faster and to achieve better traceability via EAN 128. Once the system is upgraded we will have greater security in knowing that the right pallet is in the right place at the right time.”

Cerealia has been a customer of Consafe Logistics since 1993 and the companies have formed a successful partnership over the years. Cerealia has intended to upgrade its SattStore WMS for some time now, and considered that the time is now right since it recently became a part of the Lantmännen group, one of the largest food and farming industry groups in Europe.

Eva Nyberg, Project Manager at Consafe Logistics is very pleased with the order. “We have been partners for a long time and Cerealia has always been at the forefront of logistics trends and willing to try new ideas and solutions to improve productivity. This upgrade is one more step in that process.”

The project is due to start in November.
